Latino Victory Fund, the largest Latino political action committee in the United States, announced this Saturday its support for the American president, Joe Biden, and vice president, Kamala Harris, for the November elections.

The Collective PAC, which advocates for African Americans, and the AAPI Victory Fund, dedicated to the Asian and Pacific Islander community, also expressed their support for Biden and Harris.

These three groups, the largest of the minority communities in the United States, announced an investment of 30 million dollars to mobilize Latino, African American, and Asian voters, an electorate that could be key to Biden's re-election.

In a statement, Biden's campaign director, Julie Chávez Rodríguez, considered these three organizations to be the "backbone" of the diverse coalition of voters that helped the Democratic leader defeat then-president Donald Trump in 2020, who is now unopposed on his way to being the Republican candidate in November.

Likewise, Chávez Rodríguez argued that the November election will be especially important for these communities because, under Biden's administration, they have experienced advances in racial equity, advances in healthcare with the reduction of medication costs, job creation, and infrastructure improvements.

"What is at stake in this election could not be more important for the voters of our minority communities," emphasized Chávez Rodríguez.

The support of these three groups will become official this Saturday during a campaign event in which the president and the first lady, Jill Biden, will participate, and which will take place in Georgia, a state that was key to Biden's victory in 2020.

Political action committees, like those that announced their support for Biden's campaign this Saturday, are key in the United States elections for their ability to mobilize funds in favor of one candidate or another.

Latino Victory Fund was created in 2014 by actress Eva Longoria and businessman and activist Henry R. Muñoz III with the aim of increasing the representation of Latinos at all levels of government, from local entities such as county boards to Congress or the White House.

Similarly, The Collective PAC aims for African Americans to access all levels of government and the AAPI Victory Fund does the same for the Asian and Pacific Islander community.
